So I've gone and joined a fitness club called ShapeXPress. It just opened about 2 minutes from my house, so it is uber-convenient. They've got a circuit of 26 machines which gives me a full-body workout in 1/2 an hour.
But what I *really* go there for is the far infra-red sauna. Penetrating heat (up to 1/2 inch into the skin), burning 600 calories in 1/2 hour while sitting and reading - who could ask or more? Mostly I like the heat. Warmth is good. ^_^
And the circuit thing is a lot more fun than just doing 1 machine over and over again. It's a small place, women-only, although I got to show Tonbo around at their open house.
They are open Mon-Sat, so the goal is 3-4 workouts a week, in the mornings before work. Depending when I get out of work, there is also the option for a quick sauna since they are open until 8 pm Mon-Thurs.
