DALLAS COMIC CON

Yes, both Fan Done and Shiny Shirts will have a table in the Exhibitor's Hall (or the cash-consuming Dealer's Room as it is sometimes know) at the Dallas Comic Con, October 15-16th.

Why, because the fabu movie Serenity will have finally been released across the US and people need stuff to support the addiction they will have for this unique vision of the future created by Joss Whedon, who gave us vampire slayers and soulful vampires.

And Adam Baldwin / Jayne Cobb / the Hero of Canton will also be there for Q&A and autograph signing on Sunday.

But you really want to come see us in the dealer's room. ^_-

MX CITY

So it's 2 hours before the flight and I'm not sure if I've even going. Sigh, clients. Then yes, we're going, and we'll be staying 2 nights instead of 1, since they moved the meeting time past the last flight out. And we'll be at a different hotel, because the original one didn't have 2 consecutive nights. Helps to travel with CP - no dangerous taxis and the hotel was a JW Marriott - very nice. Then again, CP needed a 6 am flight home, so it kind of balances out. :P

Long, long customs line with 3 different forms to fill out, 1 of which they didn't even take. Traffic lights don't count if you're big enough or it's 4 am. Lots of flowers and trees - felt tropical. Intense security on the client site. Very cool outside wall water cascade but I assume the man with the rifle would not appreciate me taking a pic.

Dinner at the steak place across from the hotel where the hostess wore a leather bustiere, and the waitress showed off their belly piercings. Non-smoking consisted of removing the 2 ash trays from our table. And be sure you get your credit card back.

Took BD, the Big Damn Gnomad with me. He liked the ice box.

I came, I had a meeting, I feel no need to return.

MEXICO CITY

Had a few minutes here in the am before mtgs, so I thought I might try and get back to the blogging thing.

Over wireless.

In Mexico City.

Nice room, nice view, nice friendly, helpful people. Assume the prices are listed in pesos, otherwise breakfast was around $130.

Have BD with me, so he'll have some pics to share once we get back stateside. I'd update the home page to show he's no longer in Plano, but my ftp isn't secure, and some purple belly Alliance dog might take over my Fan Done website and destroy that little online piece of Browncoat resistence.

Or I'm just paranoid ... but that doesn't mean they're not after me.

Being careful of what I do and don't log into, since it is wireless, although I figured not too many people would be interested in my blogger access. They did have an https page which I logged through. But just in case, if you start to see more than 1 entry per day, or even every day, you'll know it's not me. :P
